Cover looks like this:
(Well the front one does, not showing you the back cover because there is a very odd triangular pic of me on there...I look like a hippo.....really....)
There is a short preview clip on YouTube: HERE if you want a little peek!
I am a little bit excited.....can you tell?!!

Too Pretty For Me?

Colour colour colour........ I'm constantly playing with colour schemes, trying to keep myself away from my automatic 'go to' colours at least some of the time! So I thought I'd try pretty, delicate and a little bit pastel. Not sure.....................
Plenty of stamping....
Plenty of texture (I used texture paste that I'd coloured with paint....)
And probably one of my favourite stamps ever.... my Inkadinkado angel...
hmmmmmmmmmm...the jury is still out on whether i like this or not!

Taxi for the Butterfly Ball? For The Artistic Stamper

Well, its that time for me to share my last project for The Artistic Stamper. I've LOVED being their guest designer for June, so a big thank you to Jennie and Emma for inviting me!
My final creation is a bit strange, even for me......
Yep, that is a (kind of) wheel thing going on there.......!
You'll need to hop on over to The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog to see the whole thing in all its glory!!!!

Happy Wednesday folks!!
Its time for the weekly blog hop hosted by the fabulous Julia over at The Stamping Ground !
Why not pop on over and see what everyone has been up to on their crafty spaces this week?
My desk today is another painty one...
I've been determined to get back into the swing of some challenges, and this is the start of a colour challenge I'll hopefully be posting by the end of the week (if it gets finished as I would like...thats the thing about colour challenges, if it's outside my comfort zone I spend ages just looking to see if I like it, and if I don't it won't get posted!!)
The challenge is tan, neutral and bright pink, as you can see I haven't started on the pink yet!!
I'm thinking pink texture paste through a stencil.......... maybe.......!!!!
The grid stamp is a big favourite of mine from The Artistic Stamper......looks very odd as I only ever seem to use paint with it (which means it gets VERY messy!), and I only stamp a little at a time so its got one filthy corner with the rest clean!
Hope you're all having a good week!

Depths of Distress....

Well, this was going to be SUCH a complicated project.... I had loads of product and shed loads of technique all planned...... My starting point was the background. And that became both starting and end point! I just didn't want to touch that background any more, the colours had come out so well! A very very simple background too, just Shabby Shutters, Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks, smooshed on a craft sheet with water. Splats of plain water to 'bleach' out the colour in places, and that was it!
These three colours go together so well....
(Have to say, I always thought Distress inks weren't meant to blend and mix with each other, they are supposed to keep their own colours? I seem to have created a gorgeous purple from the pink and turquoise tones!!)
I've added a tiny Stampers Anonymous fairy figure, and just one word of text to keep it simple..
Even though the title of the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp And Show sounds a little dark and gloomy, I seem to have interpreted it in a bit of a bright and colourful way!!!!!

Ever had on of those days??

yep, me too...........
I have new rubber from Smeared Ink, and it suited the mood perfectly!
Very simple but very textured paint background:
With a tiny stamped alien (monster?)...just love him!
All in my fav colour combo of lime and black...
Its Friday though, very nearly the weekend!

I see the sea.....

I thought I'd be a bit restrained, colourwise, for me for this one!!! A bit beachy, a bit vintage, a bit of a natural theme going on..... I made a canvas (well there's a suprise!)
Lots of painty smearing, stamping and printing going on on the canvas itself, then I added a few UTEE crystals on top to make the texture a bit more water-like. Very subtle in a pic, hopefully you can see the effect in the closeup....
The 'feet' are driftwood planks, which i seem to be using on everything just now!
Add on a few starfish.....
And some shells....
And the background is done. The gorgeous image is from Crafty Individuals, stamped in brown ink to blend in with the feel of the piece. As its brown........I thought I would enter the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge this week....which is "show a bit of brown"!!!
Now to get back to some serious new Distress inks have just arrived!!!

Good morning! Happy Wednesday........................
OK, my desk........managed to clear *some* of the backlog of stamps that were there last week but as you can see, there are still the dirty ones waiting to be cleaned at the back there!
The main mess on my desk though is buttons..... I'm making up the sample for a jewellery class I'm doing in a couple of months, a button bracelet and necklace set. As with most jewellery things I spend waaaaaay more time choosing the beads or bits than actually making it! I'm in the middle of making up the 3 button high stacks that will form the bracelet.... bit of a mixed up colour scheme so far for this one as you can see! The finished bracelet will look like this...
(In true here's one i made earlier stylee!!!) Looks much better on.....
(bleurgh..veiny hand!!!)
So, that's my desk this week....let me see yours?!!!
The hostess with the mostess Julia has all the details of this wonderful blog hop over HERE  so why not join in!!
